Mumbai, March 18 (IANS) Veteran actor Anupam Kher Tuesday urged his friends and fans to wish all the best to his wife and actress Kirron Kher for her new journey as the Chandigarh candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the Lok Sabha.

"Kirron-ji starts her political journey from her home town today. She needs your wishes and blessings. Jai Ho," Anupam, who accompanied his wife to Chandigarh, tweeted.

Kirron had joined BJP in 2009.

Another actress, Gul Panag, has been named as the candidate of Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) from the same city.
