There has been considerable buzz around Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan's upcoming film Udta Teer. After unveiling the film's first look, the makers have now released its trailer, offering a glimpse into the comedy, espionage and chaos that drive the story.
Directed by Akash Kaushik, Udta Teer is backed by Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment and stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan in the lead roles. The film is currently scheduled to release in theatres on October 9, 2026.
Udta Teer Trailer: Ayushmann Khurrana Plays a Pakistani Spy
The trailer introduces Ayushmann as Bilal, a Pakistani spy who enters India for a secret mission. However, an unexpected accident changes the course of his mission when he loses his memory.
Bilal subsequently begins to believe that he is Indian, creating the central comic conflict of Udta Teer. The unusual premise brings together espionage, mistaken identity and humour, giving the film a quirky take on the spy genre.
The India-Pakistan backdrop also features prominently in the film's promotional material. The first look had already teased Ayushmann's character caught between the two countries, while the latest trailer gives viewers a closer look at the film's comic setup.
Sara Ali Khan and Ayushmann Khurrana Lead the Cast
Udta Teer brings Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan together in the lead roles. The cast also includes actors such as Gulshan Grover, Rahul Bose, Ram Kapoor and Mukul Dev, according to current film listings.
The film is directed by Akash Kaushik, who makes his feature directorial debut with the project. The production is backed by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Guneet Monga Kapoor and Achin Jain.
When Is Udta Teer Releasing?
Udta Teer was initially announced for a September 2026 theatrical release, but the makers later postponed it.
