Shahid Kapoor's most awaited film 'Jersey' was scheduled to release on April 14. Two days before the release of the film, the makers changed its release date to April 22. Then it was said that the makers have taken this decision due to the release of 'KGF Chapter 2'. Let me tell you, the film Jersey was scheduled to release in the year 2021 itself but due to the Corona epidemic, its release was postponed. Now the producers of Jersey have given the real reason for postponing the release of the film.
Why was the release date of Jersey changed?
'Jersey' film producer Aman Gill said, 'This holiday weekend we were all set for the release of Jersey. But in between, the film got stuck in a legal matter. Then we decided not to release the film till the court order. The hearing in the court was praised on Wednesday. In such a situation, it was difficult to release the film on Friday. Because of this, we have extended the release date to April 22.
Court's decision came in favor of the film
The producer further said, 'On April 13, we got a positive order from the court. Due to this, the way has been cleared for the release of our film next week. Let me tell you, writer Rajneesh Jaiswal had accused the film 'Jersey' of stealing the story and also filed a case against the makers.
Shahid said on the collision with KGF 2 and Beast
When Shahid Kapoor was asked in an interview that there is a direct competition between his two big films. So on this, the actor said that I think he also knows that this is the best day for the release of the film. Because there is a big weekend ahead. KGF 2 and Beast have different genres and our film has a different one. So in such a situation, I have no problem with a simultaneous release.
