Sources indicate that although the Khan family is redeveloping another property in Bandra, there is currently no official timeline or announcement regarding a shift from their long-time residence.
Khan Family Has Owned the Bandra Property for Over a Decade
Contrary to speculation, the Bandra property is not a recent purchase.
According to media reports, the Khan family has owned the property for more than 10 years. The project has recently gained attention because redevelopment plans have moved a step forward after receiving an important recommendation from the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA).
Why Is Salman Khan's New House in the News?
The redevelopment proposal for the Bandra property was discussed during the 198th meeting of the MCZMA on June 16.
The authority has recommended approval for the redevelopment project under Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ-II) norms, where redevelopment is permitted under existing regulations.
Officials confirmed that the old structure on the land has already been demolished after obtaining the required permissions. The proposal will now move to the next stage, where additional approvals from the relevant planning authority will be required before construction begins.
Salman Khan's New Home: What Is Planned?
According to reports, the Khan family plans to build a luxurious six-storey sea-facing bungalow on the Bandra property.
The proposed residence is expected to become one of the family's premium properties once construction is completed. However, the timeline for completion has not yet been disclosed.
