Vijay Sethupathi's Maamanithan teaser Release

Looks like Vijay Sethupathi’s long awaited 'Maamanithan' written and directed by Seenu Ramasamy, is likely to hit screens soon. Now, the makers have finally released the teaser of the film, giving hopes of the film's release son. Gayathrie, who teamed up with Vijay Sethupathi in the film Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom plays the female lead.
The teaser reveals that Vijay Sethupathi plays an auto driver who goes through severe identity crisis in this family drama. He narrates his own story to his daughter. The actor essays Radha Krishnan, who has his own goals and desires in life, apart from being a dutiful family man. The film's story revolves around how Radha Krishnan's life becomes a mess due to unanticipated issues in the family.
The rest of the star cast for the film includes KPAC Lalitha, Guru Somasundaram, Shaji Chen and Jewel Mary. Anikha of 'Viswasam' fame is also part of the film. The film is jointly produced by Yuvan Shankar Raja and K Productions.
Though the shooting of the rural drama, with music by the maestro Ilaiyaraaja and Yuvan Shankar Raja was completed in February last year, there were issues with its Chennai distribution rights. Meanwhile, the COVID-19 lockdown from March, 2020 also delayed the film's release and issues to be resolved.
This is the third time that Seenu Ramasamy, Yuvan Shankar Raja and Vijay Sethupathi have teamed up for a film. The trio had earlier worked together in Idam Porul Yaeval and Dharma Durai.
