Vijay Sethupathi's Last Farmer To Hit Screensa One February

The long awaited 'Kadaisi Vivasayi', a rural drama directed by M Manikandan (of Kaaka Muttai fame), in which actor Vijay Sethupathi appears in an extended cameo, is finally set to release in theatres. After facing multiple postponements owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, the film will hit the big screens on February 2022.
Kadaisi Vivasayi is about an elderly farmer, for whom there is no lifestyle beyond farming. Nallandi, a debutant with no background in acting, will be playing the central role of the farmer while Vijay Sethupathi will appear as a character called Ramaiah, a Muruga bhaktan. The film also has Yogi Babu is a key role.
Taking to his social networking page, Vijay Sethupathi dropped the release date with an intriguing poster. The film also has Muneeshwaran, Kali Muthu, Chaplin Sundar and Raichal Rabecca Philip in supporting roles.
"The plot revolves around a village that is organising a festival for its deity. They need some rice that was grown in the village to offer to the deity, but realise no one is into farming there. So, they end up at the doors of a small farmer, the lone farmer in the village. What happens after that is what the film is all about," director Manikandan had told us in an earlier interview.
