On the question of how Bachchan Pandey became and how he made a stone eye, Akshay said in a joking manner – I thought there should be a character who wears only one eye of the stone. I had to give a different look to Bachchan Pandey as he is a gray character. In Bachchan Pandey, Akshay Kumar plays the role of a dreaded gangster who has one eye of the stone.
Kriti says I was surprised when I saw Akshay sir in this look. But after a while I got comfortable. I told them - you should always wear a stone eye. Let me tell you, Akshay's character in Bachchan Pandey is completely different and unique from the rest of the roles. In the film, Kriti is playing the role of a film director who wants to make a biopic on her.
Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi are seen working together for the first time in Bachchan Pandey. Pankaj Tripathi plays Akshay's character Bachchan Pandey's mentor in this film.
