'They have hurt my family...', Sonu Nigam reached Rashtrapati Bhavan despite ill health and met Draupadi Murmu

Singer Sonu Nigam, who has mesmerized everyone with his voice, has become the first Indian singer to get a chance to sing at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Despite his ill health, Sonu Nigam recently reached Delhi on 3 February on the occasion of Rashtrapati Bhavan Day. On this special occasion, he performed in front of the country's President Draupadi Murmu in the new open air theatre. He recently shared his experience and also told how our President called a team of doctors there keeping in mind the singer's health.

Sonu Nigam said how was his meeting with President Murmu.
The singer, while talking exclusively to Hindustan Times, said, "As an Indian, I not only got the opportunity to perform in front of the President of our country on the occasion of Rashtrapati Bhavan Day but also got the privilege of talking to him. I am the first artist who has had the opportunity to perform in the new amp theatre. This is my good fortune. He invited not only me but also my family. My father, sister, and my brother-in-law were present with me on this special occasion".

President's doctors treated Sonu Nigam.
Sonu Nigam had a lot of back trouble during a live performance. The singer shared a video in which he was seen lying on the hospital bed. Sonu Nigam told that it was an honour for him to perform in Rashtrapati Bhavan, but it was not easy at all.

He said, "Recently I had a lot of back problems and I was not feeling well before performing yesterday. However, the President's doctors saw me and treated me for 45 minutes before the show. After that, I felt better and I was able to do a good show, which also got a lot of love".

He talked to me about the musical journey.

Sonu Nigam further talked about his beautiful experience and said, "Our President is a very nice person, he made us feel comfortable from the beginning. When you are in front of the President, you hesitate to open up and talk and remain quiet, but he talked to me very openly about my musical journey. He talked about the days of Sa Re Ga Ma and told me how I have presented India at the global level, this was no less than a reward for me".
