The shoot of Richa-Ali's first production film 'Girls Will Be Girls' begins, this Malayalam actress will make her Bollywood debut

After their star-studded wedding reception last month, Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal have started shooting for their first production film 'Girls Will Be Girls' in Uttarakhand. Talking about its story, it is a boarding school in a small town in the foothills of the Himalayas and revolves around a 16-year-old Meera. This story depicts the relationship between mother and daughter. The film will also mark the Bollywood debut of Malayalam cinema actress Kani Kusruthi.

Kani Kusruthi is a well-known name in Malayalam cinema and has won many titles. Kani Kusruthi's award list includes Kerala State Awards, Filmfare Awards, Rome Prisma Awards, and BRICS International Awards. The film will also mark the debut and launch of two new young actors, Preeti Panigrahi and Keshav Binoy Kiran, who will play the lead roles alongside Kani.

On the project, actress and producer Richa Chadha said, “I am excited and grateful for this lovely start as I have always wanted good quality Hindi films. Shuchi and I have been friends since college and I am happy to be a part of his journey. I am sure she will make a good film which has huge international potential." Speaking about his first production, Ali Fazal said, “We started this Creators Lab to support new talent. 'Girls Will Be Girls' is our first step in this regard."

The film's director Shuchi Talati said, "I am naturally overwhelmed with the process and very excited to make my first film. I feel confident about the script as our project has received recognition due to the many grants I have received. I hope I can live up to the expectations. I am working with a wonderful set of actors and a great crew, so I am grateful." The film is an Indo-French co-production jointly produced by Pushing Button Studio, Crawling Angel Films, and French company, Dolce Vita Films.
