TFCC: After the success of 'Pushpa', TFCC proposed to increase the ticket price, said this regarding OTT

The Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce (TFCC) held a meeting yesterday. This meeting was kept because of the ongoing ticket price hike in the Telugu film industry, and other problems related to the OTT release. The issue which was discussed extensively in the meeting yesterday was related to a hike in ticket prices, the OTT window, and some stringent implementations regarding these.

Discussion on OTT release of films!

It was discussed in the meeting that all small-budget films can be released on OTT at an interval of four weeks. On the other hand, medium budget and big budget films can be released on digital platforms after ten weeks of their release in theatres. According to reports, TFCC has also passed this resolution given in the meeting.

Debate on ticket prices continues

The debate about ticket prices in Telugu cinema is also going on. Ticket prices are fixed in Andhra Pradesh and new rules have been issued for big-budget films. In Telangana, the Film Chamber has proposed new prices. For small-budget films, the ticket price for multiplexes at A and B centers is Rs 125 and for a single screen at Rs 100. For medium-budget films, tickets cost Rs 177 in multiplexes at centers A and B and Rs 112 for single screens at centers. The ticket price in multiplexes has been fixed at Rs 295 for big budget films and Rs 177 for single screens.

This will be the ticket price in C centers

At the same time, small budget films in C Centers will cost Rs 125 in multiplexes and Rs 70 on single screens. For medium-budget films, it is Rs 177 in multiplexes and Rs 100 for singles. At the same time, for a big budget film, the price of a multiplex in C Centers has been fixed at Rs 295 and for a single at Rs 150.
