The local public has expressed their displeasure over the appointment of famous actress Tamannaah Bhatia as the brand ambassador of Karnataka Soaps and Detergents Limited. From social media to political corridors, this decision is being criticized. Meanwhile, the state's Large and Medium Industries Minister MB Patil has clarified the situation on this issue by holding a press conference.

Clarification on making Tamannaah the ambassador

MB Patil said, 'This is not a matter of language or regional identity, but a comprehensive brand strategy aimed at promoting KSDL products at the national and international level.' He said that Tamannaah has been chosen keeping in mind her fan following and large audience.

The minister stated the matter.

Minister Patil said, 'Our target is to take the sales of KSDL to Rs 5,000 crore by the year 2030. For this, a strong marketing strategy was necessary. Tamannaah Bhatia has more than 2.8 crore social media followers, which enables her to connect with the younger generation.

Why was Tamannaah Bhatia chosen?

He also clarified that other popular actresses like Rashmika Mandanna, Pooja Hegde, Kiara Advani and Deepika Padukone were also considered. But some of the dates were not available, some were already associated with the brand and some were out of budget. In such a situation, Tamannaah Bhatia emerged as the best choice.

Tamannaah becomes the brand ambassador of KSDL
