The director and producer of the show Hwang Dong-hyuk shared the details about 'Squid Game 2' with a note on social media.

Announcing the series from its official Twitter handle, Netflix wrote, 'Red Light...Green Light! The squid game is officially coming back with Season 2. In the second tweet, a special note has also been shared for the fans by its producer Hwang Dong-hyuk.

Sharing the note in another tweet, Netflix wrote in the caption, A message to the fans of Squid Game writer, director, and producer Hwang Dong-hyuk. It is written in this note that 'Last year the first season of Squid Game took 12 years to come on OTT. But it took 12 days for Squid Game to become the most popular Netflix series of all time.

The note further read, 'As the writer, director, and producer of the Squid game, great excitement to fans around the world. Thanks for watching and liking our show, and now, Gi-Hyun returns. The Front Man Returns. Season 2 is coming. The Man in Suit may also return. You will also be introduced to Cheul-su, Young-hee's boyfriend.'
