There is a very interesting story behind Sonal's debut with the 2008 film 'Jannat'. The shooting of the film started just a week after this meeting. Along with working with Bollywood's famous actor Emraan Hashmi, he had three more films from the Bhatt camp. Apart from 'Jannat' produced by Mukesh Bhatt, he had signed with three more films by Vishesh Films.

After seeing the box office fate of her first film 'Jannat', Sonal Chauhan made a direct turn to South Indian cinema. Sonal, who did two Telugu and Kannada films after 'Jannat', got her next Hindi film 'Buddha Hoga Tera Baap'. Amitabh Bachchan was in the lead role in the film but things did not work out. After this, Sonal again turned to Tamil, and Telugu films, and her work there was highly praised.
Sonal hands over 'Om Raut' next film
After 2011, he did the horror film '3G' with Neil Nitin Mukesh in the year 2013 but it was a flop. Five years later, she was seen working among the platoon of stars in JP Dutta's film 'Paltan'.
