Shamshera: Vaani's father, sitting on a wheel chair to meet daughter's fellow stars, see exclusive pictures

Karan Malhotra, the director of the film 'Shamshera', claims that his film has nothing to do with any real character. According to the trailer of the film, in referring to the famous Sultana dacoit of that period, he said that there have been many dacoits in that period and so have all their tribes. Shamshera's character in the film is not inspired by Sultana Daku or Sona's character from his girlfriend Putlibai. On the other hand, actress Vaani Kapoor, who arrived in her hometown Delhi ahead of the release of her new film 'Shamshera', looked quite happy on Tuesday. The reason was his family meeting the film's stars Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt.

Vani's father reached Hotel Taj Man Singh Wheelchair to meet his daughter and her fellow stars. Ranbir Kapoor, who is playing a double role in the film 'Shamshera', bowed to him and talked for a long time asking about his condition. Ranbir also met Vaani's mother and other family members on the occasion. Vaani's father was very excited to meet Sanjay Dutt, who is playing the role of villain Shuddh Singh in the film.

Vaani Kapoor says, “My parents have been my biggest supporter and my biggest critic as well. He does not look at any film or trailer like the people of the film world, nor does he give measured reactions like them. Whatever he feels, he says clearly. He liked my work in the trailer of the film 'Shamshera' and I am very happy to know that. My coming to Delhi in connection with films has reduced a lot, but we remain in constant touch with each other. Both my parents wanted to meet the cast of the film 'Shamshera', so I also called them to the hotel here.

When asked if her parents still pull her ears over anything, Vaani Kapoor says, "The characters change after coming to the age where my parents are. Now I have to take more care of them and all those whose parents are elderly should do this. At first, they raise us like children, but when they become old, we must behave like their parents and take care of their every wish and reluctance.'' Film 'Shamshera' on July 22 in Hindi, Tamil And getting released in Telugu. Ranbir Kapoor plays a rebel in the film 'Shamshera', which tells the story of the fictional town of Kaza in 1871.

In the film 'Shamshera', Vaani Kapoor is playing the role of a dancer and some of these characters also seem to be inspired by the Putlibai who was once picked up by the Sultana dacoit, who became synonymous with fear during the British rule. All the tales of love between the two are still heard from Najibabad to Nainital. Talking about this, Vaani says, “I have played my character Sona completely according to the script I got from the director of the film, Karan Malhotra. This character is delicate but it also has power. It has a journey of its own throughout the story and how she helps her partner in the film going forward, is going to be an interesting aspect of this character. This character is not inspired by any real character.

Director Karan Malhotra also gave his nod and said that the film 'Shamshera' is not a film about any social problem or social issue. This film is purely a masala entertainment film. However, while writing the film, it was not in his mind that this film would be a masala entertainer film. Karan claimed that his story has nothing to do with the notorious Sultana dacoit in the last decades of the 19th century, his girlfriend Putli Bai, and the British officer who caught the Sultana dacoit and is purely a fictional film.
