RRR for Oscar: Rajamouli's RRR may be included in the Oscar race, US media predicts

America's media company, Variety, has released a possible list of films to be nominated in various categories for the Oscars. The name of RRR has been included in two of the categories included in this list.
According to Variety, the film 'RRR', which was a blockbuster at the Indian box office, may be nominated in the Best Original Song category for its song 'Dosti'. The song, composed by MM Keerwani, is based on the friendship of Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the film. Variety also included songs like "This is a Life" from Everything Everywhere All At Once, "Holy Mu Hand" by Maverick, and "Nobody Like You" by Turning Red in the Best Original Song category.
Not only this, according to Variety, the name of RRR can also be included in the Best International Feature Film category. Let us tell you that the names of director Santiago Mitre's Argentina 1985, Alejandro González Iárritu's Bardo, Lucas Dhontas Close, and Ali Abbasi's Holy Spider are also in the race to win the Oscar in this category.
Let us inform you that SS Rajamouli's film 'RRR', made on the budget of Rs 550 crore, created a ruckus at the box office. The pairing of Jr NTR and Ram Charan was liked by the people so much that the film earned Rs 903.68 crore at the Indian box office. Not only this, Rajamouli's film was well received in foreign countries as well. As a result, the film did a business of Rs 208.02 crore overseas. That is, the film earned a total of Rs 1111.7 crore at the worldwide box office. Let us tell you that this is the second film of SS Rajamouli to cross the Rs 1000 crore mark.
