Report: 'KGF 2' became the biggest film of the year, the only contribution of Hindi cinema to the box office collection

The film 'Pushpa: The Rise', released during the Corona period, beat Ranveer Singh's '83' at the box office. Since then, the Bollywood vs South war broke out in the film industry. However, this controversy got escalated when 'KGF: Chapter 2' and 'RRR' badly beat the films of Hindi cinema superstars Akshay Kumar, Shahid Kapoor, Ajay Devgan, and Tiger Shroff. However, it was South Cinema that saved the film industry from sinking, which was stalled for two years. This is the reason why India Box Office has done a business of Rs 4002 crore from January 2022 to April 2022, which is the best performance to date.
How was the collection of the last five years?
Ormax has recently released a report. It has been told in this report that from January to April, India Box Office has collected Rs 2790 crore in 2018, Rs 3,550 crore in 2019, Rs 1,982 crore in 2020, and Rs 1286 crore in 2021. At the same time, till April 2022, a total of Rs 4002 crore has been earned. The report also revealed that 68 percent of the total earnings this year came from films dubbed in Hindi. At the same time, the contribution of Hindi cinema has been only 32 percent.

The report also revealed that Yash starrer 'KGF: Chapter 2' is the highest-grossing film of the year. By the time Prashanth Neel's film hit the theatres, 280 brands have placed their advertisements in theatres. Along with this, Ormax has also released the top 10 list of films released in 2022.
