Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh remained in the limelight through his bold photoshoot and there was a lot of opposition. The actor had made an important disclosure in his statement to the Mumbai Police in the photoshoot case. The actor says that a photograph for which a complaint was filed against him on charges of obscenity in Mumbai on July 26, has been tampered with. Ranveer Singh has said that this photo was not uploaded from his social media account.

Actor Ranveer Singh, in his statement to Mumbai Police on August 29, claimed that the picture was not shared on his Instagram account. The actor said the picture which is being said to be a part of New York-based Paper magazine is not in the seven pictures shared by him on Instagram. That photo has been tampered with. Based on the same photograph, which purportedly shows the actor's private part, the Mumbai Police had filed a complaint against the actor for obscenity.

According to information received from sources, the police have now sent the picture to the forensic lab to confirm whether it is morphed or not. If it turns out that the picture has been tampered with, Ranveer Singh is likely to get a clean chit in the case. Because based on this one photo, a case of obscenity has been registered against him.

"The actor has said in his statement that the seven pictures he posted on Instagram were not obscene and he was wearing underwear," an official said. He said that the photograph about which the complainant has filed the case was not a part of the photoshoot. He has given us all the pictures taken during the photoshoot. The police have also examined his Instagram post, which does not have a picture of the complainant.
