According to the initial data revealed, there has been a decline of 15 percent in the earnings of 'Raksha Bandhan' as compared to the fourth day. Already its earnings have been less than expected and now once again the collection on Monday is a matter of concern for the makers. The film earned 9 crores on the first day, around 6 to 6.40 crores on the second day, and 6.80 crores on the third day. However, Raksha Bandhan had earned around 8 crores, taking a slight lead on Sunday. Now the initial collection of the first Monday has also been revealed, according to which Akshay's film has collected only 6 crores on the fifth day.

Directed by Aanand L Rai, the story of 'Raksha Bandhan' revolves around a middle-class brother who is seen taking care of his sisters amid life's troubles. Akshay played the role of the brother of four sisters in the film. He plays a brother who wants to get his sisters married in a good house. In the midst of all this, his marriage has also been stalled. In the film, Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar are once again seen together on screen. Love, friendship, comedy, and emotion have been added to 'Raksha Bandhan'.
