During the conversation about working in this series, R Madhavan had said, 'I was thinking of working in a web series for about five years. But, the content that was being streamed on the OTT platform from India was not very good. I wanted to start with a web series that would compete at the international level. 'Breath' was one of those stories I wanted to be a part of. My eyes were on the trend in which the big stars of the world were turning to OTT. The actors were becoming big stars while making successful series. I was also looking for content that audiences around the world could consume. That's why I did 'Breathe'. Working in 'Breathe' risky

R. Madhavan says working in 'Breath' was risky for him. 'It gave me many nights when I couldn't sleep,' he said. Regarding OTT, Madhavan said, 'OTT platform is like a lifesaver before and after Kovid-19. Coming to this platform was risky which we took and it paid off. R. Madhavan's web series 'Dickpuld' was also a huge hit. This web series was produced by Manu Joseph and directed by Hardik Mehta. In this, Madhavan was seen with Surveen Chawla. It became the second most-watched show in India. On the third day of its release, this web series of his joined the list of top Indian web series on Netflix. Madhavan himself also shared this information through a tweet.

When Manu sent me the script, I found it so funny that I immediately agreed. I have never said yes to any project so soon.
