Akshay Kumar is coming soon with Yash Raj Films' historical film 'Prithviraj'. Which is based on the life of Emperor Prithviraj Chauhan. Before the release, some shocking things have come to light about the film. The director of the film has told that he has tried his best to show the grandeur of history in 'Prithviraj' and for this, he has prepared from 50 thousand costumes to 500 pagadis. These are so many that they can be used to decorate all the wedding processions from 500 grand to grand.
Director Chandraprakash Dwivedi said about the film, "Rarely do films put in so much effort and adopt such a difficult task. Every element of the life of Emperor Prithviraj Chauhan in our film is given utmost sincerity, authenticity, and reverence," ANI reported. We have taken care of the little things while making the film as we wanted it to narrate the life of Emperor Prithviraj on the big screen in the most spectacular way possible."
Talking about the clothes of the cast, the director said, "Detailing was important to make a film like Prithviraj. For example, 500 different turbans were made for the film. These were all the kings, public and different businesses of that time. We had a turban style expert on the sets, who looked after these turbans worn by our actors."
He further added, "More than 50,000 costumes for the film were hand-crafted by designers, who along with their team specially came from Rajasthan to Mumbai and created these garments. I am glad that I have a producer like Aditya Chopra. who believed in my vision for the film and fully supported me to tell such a story in the grandest way possible."
Apart from Akshay, 'Prithviraj' also stars Manushi Chhillar, Sonu Sood, and Sanjay Dutt. With this film, Yash Raj Films is making its first historical film which is based on the life and valor of the fearless king Prithviraj Chauhan. In this film, Akshay Kumar is in the role of Prithviraj, while Manushi Chillar has been cast as his girlfriend Princess Sanyogita. 'Prithviraj' will be released in cinemas across the country on June 3 this year. The film will be released in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil languages.
