Preity Zinta has written in her post while responding to the Congress that 'I run my social media account myself. You should be ashamed of spreading false news. No one has waived my loan. I am shocked that a political party and its representatives are spreading such false news and indulging in disgusting gossip. They are misusing my name and my photo. My loan has been fully repaid 10 years ago. Hopefully, this clarification will prevent any misunderstanding in the future.'
What is the whole matter?
There are reports that loans were issued to many people without the knowledge of a branch manager of the troubled New India Cooperative Bank. Many of these loans were written off. This also included Preity Zinta's alleged Rs 18 crore. According to reports, corruption has been exposed in New India Cooperative Bank Limited. In such a situation, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has banned its operations.
