I am shocked that a political party and its representatives are spreading such false news and indulging in disgusting gossip. They are misusing my name and my photo. My loan has been fully repaid 10 years ago. Hopefully, this clarification will prevent any misunderstanding in the future.'

There are reports that loans were issued to many people without the knowledge of a branch manager of the troubled New India Cooperative Bank. Many of these loans were written off. This also included Preity Zinta's alleged Rs 18 crore. According to reports, corruption has been exposed in New India Cooperative Bank Limited.
