Former Bigg Boss contestant Payal Rohatgi has been a victim of online fraud. Payal expressed anger towards the cyber cell while sharing her story on social media. Payal alleges that she is not getting any help from the cyber cell. They are not getting any help from the available customer care numbers. He has not been able to talk to anyone even after repeated calls on the given number. Since then, she is now raging on her cyber cell.
While talking on this matter, Payal told in the interview that this incident happened 15 to 20 days back. He did online shopping from a famous brand to buy clothes to wear during workouts. When he received the item, he was facing some problems regarding its size, after which he applied on the website to return the clothes.
Payal Rohatgi told that someone from the company came and took back the goods from them. After that, she is calling continuously for 15 days, but she is not getting the new item. Called to know the status of the return, then customer care asked them to fill out a form. It was written in the form, to deposit a fee of Rs 10 for courier registration. After this, asked to send Rs 10 in the form and also asked to fill in the card details.
Payal Rohatgi filled in the card information in the form. After this OTP was asked and as soon as he filled the OTP, Rs 20,238 was withdrawn from his account instead of Rs 10. After this, he complained about cybercrime. Payal says that these customer care numbers and links available on Google are real but work as a fraud.
