Jana Sena Party supremo Pawan Kalyan, who performed well in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly and Lok Sabha elections, took over as Deputy Chief Minister today. Apart from this, Pawan also took charge as Panchayat Raj, Rural Development and Rural Water Supply; Environment, Forest and Science and Technology Minister.

Along with this, it has been informed that after taking charge, Pawan Kalyan also signed two important files. One of these is the file to allocate funds for the work to be done under the Employment Guarantee Scheme and the other is the file related to the construction of Panchayat buildings in tribal villages.

Pawan Kalyan's Jana Sena Party contested the Lok Sabha elections on 2 seats and the Assembly elections on 21 seats in Andhra Pradesh. His party won all the seats. After he took charge today, Ministers Nadendla Manohar and Kandula Durgesh congratulated him. Apart from these, Kakinada MP T. Udaya Srinivas, Visakhapatnam South MLA Choudhary Srinivas Rao, and JSP General Secretary K. Nagababu were also among those who congratulated him.
Pawan's upcoming films
Pawan Kalyan has three films coming up, whose shooting was stuck due to the elections. These films include 'Ustad Bhagat Singh', 'OG' and 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu'. All three are action films and the producers of all three are waiting for Pawan to return to the set.
