Controversial statement on king-kingdoms
In 2017, during the inauguration of the BJP's election office on Rajkot Ring Road, Paresh Rawal compared the king kingdoms to monkeys while addressing the gathering. During his speech, he was talking about the contribution of Sardar Patel. During this, he said that Sardar Patel had united the country. These king-kingdoms, who were monkeys, were corrected and straightened. Not much was written about Patel, while JRD Tata had also said that if Sardar Patel had been the Prime Minister of the country, where would the country have reached? There was a lot of ruckus after this statement by Paresh Rawal. Their effigies were also burnt. Paresh Rawal later apologized after seeing the matter progresses.
