Nawazuddin Siddiqui was born on 19 May 1974 in a Muslim landlord family in Budhana town of Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh. However, he spent most of his time in Uttarakhand. Nawazuddin Siddiqui is the eldest among his siblings. He completed his graduation in chemistry from Gurukul Kangri University, Haridwar. After which he worked as a chemist in Vadodara, Gujarat. But after this Nawazuddin Siddiqui came to Delhi in search of a job, where he made up his mind to act after watching a play and learned acting by taking admitted to the National School of Drama.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui started his career in the year 1999 as a small character 'Terrorist Informer' in Aamir Khan's film 'Sarfarosh'. After which he did small roles in many films like Raveena's film Shool, Jungle, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, The Bypass, and Munnabhai MBBS. However, he got his real identity from the film 'Gangs of Wasseypur'. In this film, Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the role of Faizal Khan has proved that he has come to survive in this industry. After this film, he never looked back and won the hearts of people with important roles in films like Kick, Raees, and Heropanti.
