According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the earthquake occurred at 6:35 am, with its epicenter at 28.86 degrees north and 87.51 degrees east at a depth of 10 kilometers. The epicenter of the earthquake was near the Nepal border in Tibet's Xizang region.
