Kriti received the National Film Award for Best Actress from the hands of President Draupadi Murmu at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi yesterday. There is a flood of congratulations on social media for the work winning this honor. However, on this victory, an old post of Kriti's mother became popular on the internet, in which she is seen giving her support by re-tweeting a sarcastic tweet made on Bollywood.
Kriti Sanon has received the National Film Award for Best Actress for her commendable performance in the film 'Mimi'. She shared the Best Actress award with Alia Bhatt, who received the honor for her performance in 'Gangubai Kathiawadi'. While the Sanon family is busy celebrating their daughter's victory, an old tweet is going viral on social media.
The tweet is reportedly from the time when Kriti appeared in her debut film 'Heropanti' co-star Tiger Shroff on Karan Johar's chat show 'Koffee with Karan 7'. After her appearance on the show, fans criticized Karan for allegedly insulting the actress. After Kriti Sanon and Tiger Shroff's appearance on 'Koffee with Karan 7', a user tweeted about Karan Johar for belittling the actress and wrote, 'I agree with Sonam Kapoor that Kriti Sanon is underrated. For example, if Alia Bhatt had done Mimi, she would have got more credit. Kriti Sanon received less praise. A wise man once said that if an outsider does well, his success is suppressed, but if an insider does well, he is celebrated.'
Although it was a normal tweet by a social media user, when it was re-shared by Kriti Sanon's mother Geeta Sanon, it caught everyone's attention. Karan Johar had angered netizens when Sonam Kapoor called Kriti and Kiara Advani underrated actresses. Then Karan also said, 'They think they are big stars in their mind.'
