I wanted to do something fun and refreshing
During a conversation with Zoom, the actress spoke about the film, saying that it's a very sweet film. I think sometimes everything happens for a reason. 'Tere Ishq Mein' was an intense and emotionally draining film. I don't think I could have done another intense film right away. I didn't have the capacity for it. I was completely exhausted. I wanted to do something fun, something refreshing, something I hadn't done before, something I could enjoy.
This is the story 'Cocktail 2' will tell
Kriti said that 'Cocktail 2' came at the perfect time, I really wanted it. I wanted to work in a new, urban, and fun romantic comedy. It has been a lot of fun; we have almost completed two major schedules. We are about to start another one in Mumbai. It has fantastic music, and I think I look completely different from before. It will portray relationships in a new way. Whatever this film is saying is very relevant. Everyone will be able to connect with it.
Kriti praises Shahid and Rashmika
Kriti also spoke about her 'Cocktail 2' co-stars, Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna. She said that shooting with Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna has been a lot of fun. Director Homi Adajania is absolutely crazy. His energy takes us all on a fun journey. In ‘Cocktail 2’, Kriti is working with Shahid for the second time after ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ (2024). Speaking about Shahid, the actress said that he tells her, "It's nice to meet you as a person. You don't need to be bound by not being a human being."

Kriti Sanon has several films in the pipeline. Besides ‘Cocktail 2’, there are also rumors that she will be seen in ‘Don 3’ with Ranveer Singh. However, the makers have not yet confirmed this.
