The film is directed by Shashanka Ghosh of Veere Di Wedding fame. This film was to be released directly on the OTT platform earlier, but now it is not happening.
'Dhamaka' was a flop
Kartik Aaryan is mostly known for his romantic comedy films. His comedy style is also liked by the fans. But in the desire to do something different, Karthik Aryan's film Dhamaka was released directly on OTT during the Corona period. It was an action thriller film, but the film was rejected outright by the audience. Now his second film Freddy is facing a crisis.

The makers of Freddy have approached several OTT platforms to release it, but OTT has refused to take their film directly. He says that first, the producers should release this film in theatres. The platform is not interested in it after the blast flopped on OTT.
Freddy may be released in theaters
Most of Karthik Aryan's films have been hits. In such a situation, the makers are facing problems in releasing this film directly on OTT. In such a situation, after the stupendous success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, now releasing Freddy in theaters can be the right decision.
