Kamal Haasan: Kamal Haasan made a big statement on the language dispute, said - Cinema has its own language, it has no other language

Jun 03,2022

The tremendous success of South films and the success of Hindi films at the box office has made the language dispute issue a hot topic of debate on social media as well. There has been a debate between the South Film Industry and Bollywood regarding the Hindi language (Hindi vs regional language) for a long time. Till now many actors and celebs of the entertainment world have given their opinion on this issue and now Kamal Haasan has given a big statement on the language controversy during the promo of 'Vikram' and said that our cinema is one and it should be No one can divide in the name of the language.

Be aware that Kamal Haasan has said that cinema halls are the only place where you do not care what caste or religion the person sitting next to you belongs to. You go there for entertainment. Politics will continue to happen in the name of the language, but our artists and sportsmen will not fall prey to this politics. Our country is like this. Take Sachin Tendulkar only, for Tamilians, Sachin is a hero. They neither know Hindi nor Marathi. Cinema has its language, others have no language. We should understand this and respect each other. If you like a film, don't go for the language, praise it.

It is known that during the promotion of his film 'Vikram', Kamal Haasan said on the language dispute question of the media that films speak the language of the world. Cinema has its language. Our country is a country of diversities. We may have different views on some issues. But despite this, there is a wonderful unity between us. We may not speak the same language, but we all proudly sing our national anthem. The people of Tamil Nadu do not know Bengali, but they also sing the national anthem and sing it with pride. So just as our national anthem is one, so our cinema is one.

Kamal Haasan said that he considered the directors of all the classic Hindi films to be revered. Even in his dreams, he never used to come that he would ever be able to meet the makers of these films. I worked with the makers of 'Sholay' (Kamal Haasan worked with director Ramesh Sippy in 'Sagar'). We should understand this and respect each other. If you like a film, don't go for the language. Praise him. We learned to make big films by watching 'Mughal-Azam' and 'Sholay' films. People say that South films are succeeding, but I think this is an Indian film succeeding as compared to Hollywood cinema.
