Sonu Nigam did not like the song
This thing is about 11 years old when Zubin had come to participate in a reality show as a contestant. The name of this show was X-Factor. The judges of the show were Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Shreya Ghoshal, and Sonu Nigam. When Zubin narrated his song to the three judges in the audition round, Sonu Nigam categorically refused him. As soon as the song ended, Sonu said that he did not like his singing at all. Although he got selected in the first round due to Shreya Ghoshal but was eliminated from the show after some time.
AR Rahman's advice came in handy
Even after being out of the show, Zubin did not lose heart and kept on fighting. After getting rejected continuously, he kept trying to make a career in singing. During this time he also met famous music director AR Rahman, after which his life changed. Rahman had advised him to do Riyaz after listening. Following his advice, Zubin worked hard on his singing.
Zubin has sung many superhit songs
This advice from AR Rahman came in handy for Zubin. After doing a lot of riyaas, he sang his first song in the film Sonali Cable, which was a huge hit. After that, he sang more than one song. Even today people like to listen to Bajrangi Bhaijaan's Zindagi song. Apart from this, Zubin has lent his voice to many great songs like Barsaat ki Dhun, Loot Gaye, Rataan Lambiya.
