Gangubai Kathiawadi box office: Alia Bhatt's film reached close to 100 crores, earned so much in 10 days

Alia Bhatt's Gangubai Kathiawadi is setting the box office on fire. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film is running towards Rs 100 crore in India. According to reports, there was a big jump in the collection of Gangubai Kathiawadi on Sunday (March 6th). Initial estimates suggest that the film has collected more than Rs 10 crore in a day.

Within days of its release, Gangubai Kathiawadi crossed the Rs 100 crore mark at the worldwide box office. The film is currently in its second week and is facing tough competition from Amitabh Bachchan's Jhund and Hollywood's The Batman. Despite this, there is no significant effect on its earnings.

According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Gangubai Kathiawadi collected Rs 8.20 crore on March 5 in India. Early estimates from trade analysts suggest that the film saw a huge jump on Sunday, March 6. The film is expected to earn around Rs 10 crore in India on Sunday.

Before the start of the film, there was a lot of uproar about it. Gangubai's family had some objections about which they also approached the court, despite this the film managed to release in theatres. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Gangubai Kathiawadi is a real-life story based on Hussain Zaidi's book Mafia Queens of Mumbai. Apart from Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgan, Parth Samthaan, Seema Pahwa and Shantanu Maheshwari have played important roles in the film. Jayantilal Gada has directed this crime drama.
