Since then I was thinking of directing a film, but I had many acting projects lying around. That's why I was not able to find time for this. But now I have time and I feel that I know the pulse of people. I think the audience needs something that can make them mentally aware.

Kangana further said in her interview, 'Emergency recent is such a part of history which cannot be denied at all. I think the audience will like it. Ever since its teaser was launched, it is trending at number one. It shows what the audience wants. It is not that people do not want to see the content, they want to see young filmmakers, new ideas, and refreshing ideas on the cinema screen instead of typical formula films. I am sure that as a filmmaker, I will benefit from this approach and thinking.

Let us tell you that this film will show the story of the Emergency in the country in the year 1975 through a cinematic lens. On June 25, 1975, the Congress government under the leadership of Indira Gandhi imposed an emergency on the entire country. This film by Kangana Ranaut is going to be released on 25 June 2023.
