Directed by Abhishek Pathak, the film is scheduled to release on November 18 this year.
Announcing the release date of the film, Ajay Devgn shared the post on his social media account. The actor writes, 'Attention! Drishyam 2 is going to hit the theaters on November 18 this year. Apart from Ajay Devgan, Akshaye Khanna, Tabu, Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, and Ishita Dutta will be in the lead roles in this film. According to the information received, the team of 'Drishyam 2' has completed the shooting of the film in Hyderabad today.
Directed by Abhishek Pathak, the film is the sequel to the 2015 crime thriller "Drishyam", a Hindi remake of the Mohanlal-starrer Malayalam film of the same name. The sequel to the Malayalam film was released in February last year. The story of the film centers on a family of four whose lives take a turn after an unfortunate incident with their elder daughter.
Ajay Devgn will be seen reprising his role of Vijay Salgaonkar in the sequel. Sharing this information, the makers write, "Indian cinema's much-loved character Vijay Salgaonkar is all set to take us on another exciting journey on 18th November this year. Let us tell you that the sequel will feature Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, and Ishita. There is also Dutta.
