'Stop misrepresenting my statement'
Recently, actress Dia Mirza supported Fawad Khan's comeback in Bollywood during an interview. After the Pahalgam attack, Dia's statement is also constantly being in the headlines. On this, Dia Mirza has now given clarification regarding her statement. Dia Mirza has shared a note on Instagram story.
In this note, Dia wrote, "Members of the media are requested to stop misrepresenting facts. I gave an interview for one of my films on April 10, in which I made a statement, which was much before this horrific terrorist attack. Stop broadcasting my statement now, which is weeks later and out of context. This is unethical and extremely insulting."
Dia expressed happiness over Fawad's return.
Dia Mirza had recently supported Fawad's return in an interview given during the promotion of one of her films. She had said, "Art and hate should not be linked together. This is a political question. I have always believed that art has always been and should be a medium of peace and harmony.
We should never allow art and sports to be entangled or mixed with hate. It is a good thing that Fawad is back in the film. You know we will see it soon. I hope this will lead to many more such opportunities for other collaborations."
