Sara Arjun is the daughter of well-known actor Raj Arjun. Raj has worked in South (Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu) and Bollywood cinema. Raj played a small role in Ajay Devgan starrer film Company in the year 2002. However, he got recognition from the film Black Friday released in 2004. He played the role of Akram in the film.

Raj Arjun has worked in films like D, Kalo, Thandavam, Rowdy Rathore, Satyagraha, Shree, Thalaiva, Traffic, and Dear Comrade. He played the role of Ilyas in Shah Rukh Khan starrer film Raees, while he played the role of abusive husband Farooq in Secret Superstar.
