Dehati Disco Review: Dance Master's acting debut on the big screen, Ganesh Acharya's 'Dehati Disco' was ineffective

Dance movies have been an important category of cinema. Mithun Chakraborty was made a superstar by 'Disco Dancer' and Govinda by 'Ilzaam' and 'Love 86'. The life of these films was the dance of the heroes of these films. Later Hrithik Roshan also made crores of fans with his dance and his dances were very successful till his last film 'War'. Dance master Ganesh Acharya, who made the stars of Hindi films dance with different postures on the screen, has been a big name. After earning their name and money, he is now trying to fulfill his childhood dream in the film 'Dehati Disco'. Trying to imitate all the mighty heroes like Sunny Deol, Suniel Shetty, and Ganesh Acharya is seen doing all that he does not like in this film. Only dance is good for them and for that too the necessary flexibility is needed in the body, she is leaving them.

The story of a son longing for love

The film 'Dehati Disco' is the story of a son yearning for his father's love, who is thrown out of the house in childhood by his Mahant father for dancing. This child grows up and wants to see in his son all that he was never allowed to do. It could have been a sentimental story of the clash, separation, and fragmentation of the ideals and principles of three generations. The kidnapped from the house returns to the village with a grown beard and 56-inch chest (same stomach). Mahant's Shiv temple is under threat from the MP of the area. He wants to open a dance academy on the temple land for his son who has returned after learning dance from abroad because his priest has said so. There is a dance competition to save the land of the temple and the story reaches its destiny.

The poor film made on the average story

Ganesh Acharya himself has written the story of the film made for his big screen. Dance movies are the easiest way for a choreographer to become a hero on the big screen. Pramudeva and Remo D'Souza have failed in this formula after getting initial success. Ganesh Acharya should have learned a lesson from this. His stature and face are no longer worthy to debut on the big screen as the hero of the film 'Dehati Disco'. The acting was his dream since childhood. Father also came to become his Mumbai hero. To fulfill his father's dream, he could have made a better film with a better story.

Ganesh Acharya's weakest link

The film 'Dehati Disco' is the first to beat in its story and its screenplay. Made on a familiar background, it takes courage to watch this film. This film can set a record for speaking dialogues in slow motion. Ganesh Acharya's acting is another major weakness of the film. Whatever be the scene, whatever the sense of need is, Ganesha seems to be trying to increase the length of the film while speaking dialogue like Asit Sen. Even if people came to watch the film because of him, it is obvious that the whole time the focus is only on his acting. He has also kept a lot of opportunities to show his dancing feats in the film, but now his body is not flexible like 'Mara Re..'.

See or don't see...

Ganesh Acharya is the main attraction of the film 'Dehati Disco' and he leaves the audience completely disappointed. Child actors impress competently, but it would have been better if the innocence of their acting remained intact. Artists like Ravi Kishan, Rajesh Sharma, and Manoj Joshi have done their job. Technically too the film is very average and so is its music. It would be better to watch the film on OTT after a few weeks. Going to theaters is not a film worth investing time in.
