The actor has made a lot of headlines in the film world in supporting roles. His acting is so amazing that even in the side role, he seems to dominate the main character. Deepak Dobriyal was born on 1 September 1975 in Pauri Garhwal (Uttarakhand). Deepak Dobriyal moved to Delhi at the age of about five years. Here he did his schooling at Katwaria Sarai. Deepak Dobriyal belonged to a middle-class family. When he talked about acting in his family, everyone refused him to do so. Most of the boys studying with him had started doing good jobs and the age of Deepak to do government jobs was getting out. Deepak once told me in an interview that people even started feeling that I was not going to do anything.

After doing theater along with studies in Delhi, Deepak moved to Mumbai. Here he got his first break in the year 2003 in Vishal Bhardwaj's film 'Maqbool'. In this, he played the character of a person named 'Thapa'. After this, he got a chance to do small but effective roles in films like 'Charas' and 'Blue Umbrella'. This was followed by the film Omkara in 2006. Deepak played the role of Rajan Tiwari in this film. He caught everyone's attention with this film. Deepak has also received the Filmfare Award for Omkara.

This was followed by Kangana Ranaut and R Madhavan's film 'Tanu Weds Manu' in the year 2011. In this film, he was seen in the role of R Madhavan's friend Pappi. For this, he also received the Star Guild Award for Best Comic Actor of that year. After this, in the year 2017, Deepak Dobriyal appeared in the film Hindi Medium with Irrfan Khan. He was shown in a very strong role in this film. Talking about personal life, Deepak Dobriyal married Lara Bhalla on 17 January 2009. They have two children, a boy, and a girl.
