Cuttputlli Review: In this film of Akshay, the audience became a puppet, the filmmakers did a lot of 'cheating' by twisting the door

A word used a lot in filmmaking, 'cheat Kar lenge!' means doing something that the audience can't catch. For example, while shooting, a line was not shot properly or the facial expressions of an artist did not come properly, or such small things. When these problems were caught during the editing of the film, without going to the original location, these scenes with the artist would have been 'cheated' by going to Mumbai or where he was at that time. This 'cheating' equal to salt in lentils did not bother even the audience. But, director Ranjit M Tiwari's new film 'Katputli' is such cheating from the beginning to the end that people will remember it for years. Producer Vashu Bhagnani has 'cheated' the entire Kasauli here and made it in a town near London. But, neither the leaves of the trees lie, nor the buildings nor the soil. If you watch the film carefully, you will understand that the door in 'Puppet' is in the hands of the makers of this film and the dancing has been the audience watching it.
Another remake of south movie
When the Tamil film 'Ratasan' became a hit four years ago, everyone ran after its remake rights. Telugu people made it under the name 'Rakshasudu' and released it within a year. Ranjeet M Tiwari also showed speed, but after the film was made, it came to know that the dangers of copying a Tamil film are too many. No distributor touched the film at all. Akshay Kumar's jugaad is of great use to his producers. Even Disney + Hotstar people remain kind to Akshay. When Fox Star Studios was there, there were a lot of setting for Akshay's films. Then came OTT, they have no problem in selling 'Lakshmi' and 'Puppet' here too. The problem is that only OTT customers who keep getting 'cheated' by giving one-year subscriptions together.
Another bad film by Akshay Kumar
From cinema to OTT, Akshay has become so much these days that sometimes one gets tired of hearing another Akshay's film. The ninth month of the year has just begun and till now the audience is 'cheating' in the name of Akshay in 'Bachchan Pandey', 'Emperor Prithviraj', 'Rakshabandhan', and now 'Puppet' as well. Also in the line is his film 'Ram Setu with Jacqueline Fernandez, who may appear in lock-up any day along with his alleged cheating partner Sukesh Chandrasekhar. Well, coming back to the film 'Puppet' in which every artist is seen 'trying' to act well in front of the camera. Cinema is the opposite, in which fantasy has to be put on screen in such a way that it looks like real life. As soon as the hard work of acting is seen on the screen, the matter becomes Sunil Shetty. And, every artist in the film 'Kathputli' has competition from Sunil Shetty's acting.
Another badly scripted film
The story is tricky. The so-called winding roads of Kasauli make rounds like roundabouts. The banda, who dreams of making a film, joins the police job out of compassionate quota after the death of his father at the insistence of his sister and brother-in-law. The uniform belongs to his police, but his mind remains in the same research that he did while writing his first film. The film continues to set up the murders of school-going girls. Sometimes takes the audience to the left, sometimes to the right. And, in the climax, when it comes to the payback of this setup, the film raises its hands that Bhaiya, itte mein itta hi ho hai. The film is said to be a psychological thriller, but the best psychological thriller is Radhika Apte's 'Ahalya' and is available for free on YouTube.
Just one more film of Ranjit Tiwari
The film 'Ratasan' was a hit in Tamil. The original of 'Hit the First Case' was also a hit. But, the biggest challenge of making a film in any other language than Hindi is to capture the interest and sensibilities of the Hindi-speaking audience. Overacting is in the DNA of South Indian cinema. Audiences of Hindi cinema watch TV for this. They want the film as real. 'Cheating' is not tolerated at all. In the film 'Bellbottom', Ranjit M Tiwari showed the signs of a capable director, but his horoscope was completely revealed in the next film. The story is messed up. Casting is messier than that. The dialogues are not effective at all. Watching this two-hour film on OTT is no less than a challenge in itself.
Another artist on Mithun Chakraborty's path
Akshay Kumar is slowly becoming the Mithun Chakraborty of the expiring era. In those days, Mithun used to shoot six films simultaneously at the same location. Neither the story nor the dialogues mean anything to them. He was only looking for money. Mithun became the largest income taxpayer in the country. Now, this same tag is with Akshay. When was he last seen in his character on screen, one has to think. Rakul Preet, who aspires to become the daughter-in-law of the film's producer Vashu Bhagnani, is Akshay's heroine in this film. And he has not even done anything in the film worth writing more than this one line. Sargun Mehta has become a tough police officer. It is said that she is also the mother of a girl child, but it is not shown. Veteran theater artist and Malayalam film actor Sujit Shankar certainly impress a bit in the middle, but Canadian artist Joshua LeClair ruins the film as soon as he casts his spell.
