The song 'Choli ke peeche' was sung by Ila Arun and Alka Yagnik for the film 'Khalnayak'. It was recreated in the film 'Crew' released last year. The recreated version of 'Crew' has been sung by Diljit Dosanjh. Apart from this, Diljit Dosanjh has also sung this song a lot during his Dil Luminati tour in India. He has given a good amount of royalty to Ila Arun for this. At the same time, Ila Arun has expressed her gratitude to the singer and has expressed hope that he will cover more of her songs.

Originally, the song 'Choli ke peeche' from the film 'Khalnayak' was not only recreated by Diljit in the film 'Crew', but also sung in his concerts during his Indian tour Dil Luminati. For this, the singer has given a good amount of royalty to veteran singer Ila Arun. Recently, while talking to Hindustan Times, Ila said that she got a good amount of royalty for Diljit Dosanjh's song 'Choli Ke Peeche' and she hopes that Diljit will consider more of her songs.
'Singers should not be underestimated'
Ila Arun had initially objected to the remix version of the song in the film 'Crew'. However, now during the interview, the singer shared her views on the use of her songs without permission and said, 'This is wrong. But I compromised with them.' She stressed that just because AI is now accessible, artists should not be underestimated.
Initially expressed displeasure
Ila Arun has not sung songs in Bollywood films for the last 12 years, but her status in the industry remains intact. Last year, two of her famous tracks 'Ghaghra' and 'Choli Ke Peeche' were recreated in Rajesh A. Krishnan's hit comedy 'Crew'. Initially, he opposed the use of these songs without his permission, but later he accepted it.
