Rohit Shetty's father MB Shetty was a well-known stuntman, choreographer, and actor. At the same time, his mother also used to work as a junior artist. After Rohit's father died, he struggled a lot to get work.
After this, he started his career at a very young age as an assistant director with Kuku Kohli in the film Phool Aur Kaante. Ajay Devgan was seen in this movie. The director had told in an interview that he got Rs 35 after working for the first time.
Worked as a body double
Not only assistant director, but Rohit also worked as the body double of Ajay Devgan and Akshay Kumar in many films. After this, the action director made his directorial debut in the year 2003 with Ajay Devgan's starrer film 'Zameen'.
After this, he directed many films, but he got recognition after the comedy film Golmaal. After this movie, he never looked back.
