Now, while it is slowly becoming clear to the audience of Maharashtra that historical facts have been tampered with in the film 'Chhava', the film crossing the Rs 300 crore mark at the domestic box office proves that the audience is ready to come to the cinema for surprising films. The visual effects of the film 'Chhava' are being praised everywhere and Vicky Kaushal, who plays the role of Sambhaji in the film, has joined the elite club which includes Allu Arjun, Shahrukh Khan, Sunny Deol, Prabhas, and Shraddha Kapoor.

It has been 10 days since the release of the film 'Chhava'. The film created the first big uproar of the year by earning Rs 219.25 crore in the first week of its release i.e. in the first seven days of its release. The film benefited a lot from Shivaji Jayanti and the film did wonders on the weekend that followed. The film earned Rs 23.50 crore on the second Friday of its release, Rs 44 crore on the second Saturday, and Rs 40 crore on the second Sunday of its release.

Director Laxman Utekar's film 'Chhava', which earned Rs 326.75 crore in just 10 days of its release, is also facing controversies. Researcher Ankit Jaiswal has written on his social media page that the film is far from facts. He also raised questions about there not being much in the film about the relationship between Shivaji and Sambhaji. Laxman Utekar has also now accepted that many facts shown in the film are a result of his imagination. Utekar has said this after a defamation notice was sent by Yesubai's descendants in this regard.

The film's collection is looking great even in the second week of its release. There seems to be no problem with the film touching the Rs 400 crore mark at the domestic box office. But it may be difficult for the film to join the 500 crore club. However, it is also true that any film that has crossed the 400 crore mark in recent times has also been successful in crossing the 500 crore mark. Among the top 10 highest-grossing Hindi films, director Sukumar's Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna starrer 'Pushpa 2' is currently at number one with earnings of Rs 830.10 crore.
