Box Office Clash: 'KGF-2', 'Jersey' and 'Beast' to come in April; Shahid Kapoor, Yash, and Vijay will clash

A few months back, the makers of Thalapathy Vijay and Pooja Hegde's starrer 'Beast' revealed that their film will release in April this year. Fans had anticipated that the film would hit the big screens on 14 April 2022 as the Tamil New Year. Well, his speculations turned out to be true. Beast Tamil will release on New Year Weekend on 13th April 2022 to entertain the audience in theaters.

That is, in April, actors Vijay's 'Beast', Yash's 'KGF 2' and Shahid Kapoor's 'Jersey' will compete at the box office. It will undeniably be an interesting clash, as all the three stars have a huge fan following across India and the audience is eagerly waiting for these films.

When and where will KGF Chapter 2 be released?

'KGF Chapter 2' is the sequel to 2018 blockbuster 'KGF Chapter 1', which is the highest grossing Kannada film of all time. Yash's KGF-1 had collected around Rs 250 crore worldwide. Apart from Yash, the Kannada period-action film stars Sanjay Dutt, Srinidhi Shetty, Raveena Tandon, and Prakash Raj in lead roles. The film was initially scheduled to release on October 23, 2020. But due to various reasons, director Prashanth Neel decided to release KGF-2 on 14th April.

Shahid Kapoor's film will come on this day

Shahid Kapoor's 'Jersey', on the other hand, is the official remake of the Telugu blockbuster of the same name, which starred Nani and Shraddha Srinath. After the blockbuster success of 'Kabir Singh', the Hindi remake of another Telugu hit 'Arjun Reddy', fans are excited to see Shahid in the sports drama. The film also stars Mrunal Thakur and Shahid's father Pankaj Kapur in lead roles. It was initially scheduled to release on August 28, 2020, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, director Gowtham Tinnanuri decided to release it on April 14.
