Now Ayushmann will be seen as a new character in the most different film of his career. Ayushmann will be seen in the role of an undercover police officer for the first time in the film directed by Anubhav Sinha.

Anek is a political-action-thriller film. Regarding his character Joshua in the film, Ayushmann said, "This is the first time the audience will see me in this avatar. I have played a cop before, but this is the first time he will see me go undercover. Joshua is street smart and intelligent in many. He knows how to find his way around people and not only in physical ability, but with his sharp mind, he can also fight the bad guys. I was so excited to try myself at painting Joshua because it allowed me to do something I'd never done before. I am indebted to our viewers for providing new experiences with each film.

He continued, "As an undercover cop, Joshua has the ideal traits of a detective and I had to work on my physical and mental skills to play it. From his observation skills to his ability to fight the enemy, The character's journey keeps everyone hooked and engaged. Talking about the film, director Anubhav Sinha says, “I am excited about the release of Anek as it has a lot to offer to the audience. Ayushmann has given his all for Joshua, there can be no one better than him. Not only is he a great actor, but he was also fearless when it comes to acting as an undercover cop in the film."

'Anek' is a film to underline the idea of ??Unity in Diversity. It has been shot at locations in the North East. Produced by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series and Anubhav Sinha's Banaras MediaWorks, the film is releasing in cinemas on 27 May 2022.
