Ayushmann told that he was very excited to play this character as he got a chance to do all that he could not do earlier in this film.

Anubhav Sinha is directing this film. Earlier, both have also worked together in Article 15. In Article 15 too, Ayushmann's role was that of a police officer. People liked this film very much. Now, this pair of actor-director is once again returning to the big screen through the film Anek. The film will hit the theaters on May 27.
