The director of the film, Chandra Prakash Dwivedi, revealed in an interview that, Akshay Kumar once told him that if the audience does not like historical films like Samrat Prithviraj, then he will return to his comedy zone films.
Chandra Prakash Dwivedi, in a recent interview with Navbharat Times, while talking about the impact of the failure of Emperor Prithviraj, said that if a film flops, the producers are a little disappointed. This is the first historical film of Yash Raj Films and had it been successful, they would have made more such films. But now he will again make the same films as he has been making earlier.
At the same time, while talking about Akshay Kumar in the interview, he revealed that I remember Akshay told me personally once that, he has been doing films like Rowdy Rathore and Housefull of comedy zone, which is very good at the box office. But she has been rocking and with Samrat Prithviraj, I am making a new effort if people don't like me in this zone. So I will return to comedy zone films again.
