The actress gave birth to a daughter in September last year and is still enjoying motherhood. But the makers are finding it difficult to fulfill Deepika's demand. Because of this, they are now planning to remove or shorten her role. However, there has been no official update on this from either the makers or Deepika.

In the first part of Kalki 2898 AD, Deepika was shown pregnant with the Kalki avatar of Lord Vishnu in her womb, whose birth will save the post-apocalyptic world from an evil ruler.
