Chennai, Feb 25 (IANS) Actor-producer Udhayanidhi Stalin, who has so far been seen only in romantic roles, will feature in an action avatar for the first time in his career in upcoming yet-untitled Tamil romantic-thriller. He is paired with Amy Jackson in the film.

"Contrary to his romantic roles, Udhay will be seen doing some serious action in this film. He felt it was the right time to branch out and do some different roles when he expressed his interest to be part of this project," the film's director Thirukumaran told IANS.

"The action will be realistic and will shot in a way to suit Udhay's onscreen image. He was very particular about not going overboard," he said.

Amy, who was last seen in Vikram-starrer "I", will be essaying the role of a Tamil Brahmin girl in the film.

Actor Vikranth and Karunakaran will be seen in important roles.

Udhay is currently awaiting the release of Tamil romantic-comedy "Nanbenda".
