Acharya: 'Acharya' flopped badly at the box office, distributors asked for Rs 50 crore in compensation

Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan's film 'Acharya' has seen a huge drop in collections after a stellar opening at the box office. The film, which grossed only Rs 54.74 crore in six days, is going to be one of the biggest flops of Ram Charan and Chiranjeevi's career. Because 'Acharya', made on the budget of Rs 140 crore, is not able to recover its cost in any way.
Acharya is to release on OTT soon
Experts say that it would have been better if the makers had opted for a direct release on OTT. However, even now the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video is ready to pay a good amount for digital rights. According to the information, the film is going to be released on OTT on 27 May 2022.
The producer is being trolled
Producer Koratala Siva is being trolled badly for her poor script and dialogues ever since the film flopped. Because the film was also struggling to earn Rs 50 lakh on the fourth day.
Acharya included in the list of flop films
According to media reports, the film has suffered a loss of around Rs 90 crore. After which the distributors have demanded a compensation of Rs 50 crore. On one hand, 'Radhe Shyam' was the biggest flop of recent times with a loss of 120 crores. At the same time, 'Acharya' has come at number two with a loss of Rs 80-90 crore. Other films on the list are 'Bombay Velvet', 'Zero' and '83'.
