Kartik Aaryan is going to be seen in the lead role in Aashiqui 3. At the same time, the female lead has not been announced for this film yet. Aashiqui 3 will be directed by Anurag Basu. Regarding Aashiqui 3, Karthik Aryan says- 'Aashiqui is such a film, which I have grown up watching. Working in Aashiqui 3 is like a dream come true. I consider myself lucky to work with Bhushan Kumar and Mukesh Bhatt. I have been a huge fan of Anurag Basu's work and will learn a lot from working with him.

Anurag Basu has also expressed happiness about Aashiqui 3. He said that the feelings the fans had for Aashiqui and Aashiqui 2 remain in their hearts even today. This will be my first project with Kartik Aaryan who is known for his dedication, hard work, patience, and determination towards his work.

The film Aashiqui, which came in the year 1990, was directed by Mahesh Bhatt. It was released by T-Series and Vishesh Films. Rahul Roy and Anu Agarwal were seen in the lead roles in this film. After this film, both became famous overnight. After this, in the year 2013, the film Aashiqui 2 directed by Mohit Suri was released. Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur were seen in this film.
